When Beyonce announced she was expecting twins on February 1, 2017, on her Instagram, it drew international attention. The two little celebrity babies were born on 13 June, and barely a month later Beyonce announced the little darlings' names - after making sure to patent the hubs so no one else snatched them for almost of them.
Beyonce's twins were one of each sex. The girl's name was Rumiand the boy's Sir Carter.
With an older sister called Blue Ivy, it may come as no surprise to many that the twins' names are also very special.
Rumi is originally a maiden name used in Japan, but also the surname of a Persian poet who wrote poetry in the 14th century, Jelaluddin Rumi. Sir is actually best known as a title, but is now also used as the first name of one of Beyonce and Jay-Z's little twins.
The famous singer married Jay-z, and the two are now happy parents of three.
